High-energy, No-Bake Nutrition Bar

This delicious healthy Quest bar alternative recipe using nuts, natural sweeteners and a food processor!




These have been the MOST-requested recipes we get from our fellow friends and athletes. We've been holding onto the recipe for dear life until now and we can't wait to finally share it with you, our Denver fitness community!


One of our favorite parts about #bodyweight #training is also carrying over a certain mindful-ness to our kitchen! We find ourselves craving sources of protein and nutrients that will fuel us up and taste delicious WITHOUT compromising our gains. So ... we're stoked to let you in on our little secret :)




Crystal Hatch, (co-founder of Club Calisthenics) was messing around in the kitchen one night and finally found something to satisfy her late night cravings while also supporting her body into recovery-mode instead of spiking her insulin levels with the sugary bars she had in her cabinet. Crystal was a huge fan of the convenience of grabbing Quest bars from the supermarket but wanted a healthy option that she could make in her kitchen.


This is how this incredible and delicious no-bake (Quest-alternative bar) was born. By using nuts, natural sweeteners and just a food processor, the most delicious energy bar came to life. In fact, it's become SO popular in Crystal's #Denver community, it has been a frequent request for gatherings and post-workout hang-outs. Let's get into it ...






NO BAKE HIGH ENERGY BAR RECIPE


Ingredients

- 1 Cup Organic Raw Walnuts

- 1 Cup Organic Raw Cashews

- 1 Cup Organic Raw Pecans

- 1/2 tsp Organic Cinnamon

- Scrape 1 Vanilla Bean or use 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

- 1/2 tsp Macca Powder

- 2 Scoops Amazing Grass Green Superfood

- 1 Scoop Moringa Powder

- 1/2 Cup Free-Range Egg White Protein Powder (unflavored)

- 1 Cup Grass Fed Whey (unflavored)

- 1/4 Cup Grass-Fed, Pasture Raised Collagen

- 1/2 cup iMO or Vitafiber

- Manuka Honey (or Local) to taste


DIRECTIONS

Blend till smooth in a Food Processor

Walnuts, Cashews, Pecans, Cinnamon, Vanilla Bean (scraped) or Vanilla Extract and Macca Powder. Scrape sides and blend 3x for 30sec each.


Add In

Amazing Grass Green Superfood and Moringa Powder. Blend 15 sec.


Add In

Egg White Protein Powder, Whey Protein Powder and Collagen Powder. Scrape sides, break apart and blend 3x for 20sec each time.


Add In

iMO or Vitafiber and Honey (to taste). Add in a little more iMO to bring the batter together


Pour Batter onto a plate and then press into a pancake shape. Cut desired bars and place into a glass container and store in the fridge or freezer! Moringa Powder acts as a natural preservative and so you can leave these out of the fridge for a few days if desired.


That's all it takes! We hope you enjoy these body nutritious snacks as much as we do, and keep in mind that this recipe is very forgiving, so adding a little extra here or there, or a little less in bits, will work out just fine. The end product is one that you, and your friends or family, will relish in.
